For those excited about the new wall types and are holding off building here is the timeline given from WO when we might expect them in WU.
With the launch of the housing update, we'll begin looking at a WU beta to come out in the next week or two with the update, there's a few changes to things that may need some modders to check in the beta but it shouldn't last long before going live.
go to your settlement token, OPEN settlement plan from the token, use lower right button to EXPORT a copy to your hard drive. I usually name it after the deed, ie HEARTWOOD.MAP
OPEN deed planner, LOAD from the file you saved of your settlement
tricky part (if you have a coastal deed) is, it may be partly underwater D: go to the RESIZE option, at the bottom you add add/minus the height, ADD about +70 or so (may need to finetune the number a bit)
Now SAVE again a backup copy once you have the major fiddling right, so you don't have to redo it anytime you want to start fresh again.
The new right and left arch options are tricky at first, ingame you will be able to ROTATE any wall built the wrong direction. if windows etc are going wrong look for the button to REVERSE current direction of windows etc. It takes a bot of fiddling but it's a-worth it!
Now post a screenshot here showing us all how bee-yoo-tee-ful your deed is gonna to look with the new building options!
First Place Prize: Admiration of Everyone! Second Place Prize: Admiration of Almost Everyone ... except First Place, Who thinks You Copied Their Design! (well maybe you did...just a little bit) Third Place Prize: I hear someone here makes delicious Dagwood Sammiches! Maybe they will DONATE one!
WU beta We're still in the process of ironing out some bugs appearing within the new housing update, and once theyre done we'll have a beta up for WU, we expect that to be available within the week, with the live version following shortly after
One week delay official word: WU beta to live delays Due to the last update, we'll be including some last minute fixes and tweaks in the beta, which will extend it to next week, this is to make sure we don't have to force another update our beta version before going to live, sorry about the delay, but delaying is smoother than a second update later on in case something breaks!
