Any chance on knocking them cooldowns down a few notches?
Figure 10x speed is a bit much. Maybe just reduced by half? 9 hours on Enchant doesn't seem too overpowered. Could be wrong, though.

Not sure why that would seem over powered. You could easily have more alts to make up the difference if the cool down was adjusted to a longer period of time. Even aside from having alts, it's also possible to just plant crops in place of enchanted grass, since the crops never rot they also act as an infinite food source after the crop reaches the 'growing' stage. In fact, even better than enchanted grass, because enchanted grass has a slight chance of being trampled. "Enchanted grass has a 1 in 240 chance to revert to grass on deeds with a good ratio when an animal grazes. If the deed has a bad ratio, less than 15 tiles per animal, it has a 1 in 120 chance of reverting to grass. Off deed enchanted grass has a 1 in 80 chance to revert to grass when an animal grazes." That is if Bdew hasn't modified enchanted grass to work differently on this server.

I'm a nerd and I like to make things perdy. Slapping horses in fields doesn't seem too appealing in my opinion. But das just me. Guess I could make love tile alts, but I already feel super gross and dirty having a couple for caring :C Enchanted grass looks neat, I'd like to eventually have a whole field of it. Guess I can do that with the current cooldowns, too. It'll probably take a few years, though.

I could definitely see how people prefer the aesthetics of enchanted grass over crops. I had misread what you meant earlier. I thought you were stating that the enchanted grass cool down was over powered. I thought Bdew had somehow already adjusted the cool down time for enchanted grass down to every 9 hours. I think having less of a cool down would be nice as well.

Coming from WO like many others and realizing the grind the wait and time dedication in order to accomplish some things did have a rewarding feeling. Enchanted grass is great but I don't feel that so many aspects of the server need to be more instant gratification rather then the way things are intended invest time = reap reward. I feel the same way on time to deliver on breeding as well some things done too quickly make it seem like the overall its going to far to the "panda" mode of things. Not to say improvement and adjustments and tweaks aren't great but just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should. I also think that a poll or voting of some sort on a implementation that is being considered would be great to get overall community input before having it implemented.

I'd rather have intelligent discussion on changes rather than votes, so if anyone has anything to add to what was said - feel welcome. Specifically for enchanted grass i think reducing the cooldown will be a good change because - It's 99% cosmetic, crop tiles already work as an infinite source of food for grazing animals
- The current cooldown can already be easily overcome by alts (and unlike WO there is no limit to alts on WU)
- PoL is pretty useless at the moment, using refresh for food is counter-productive to CCFP bonuses and everyone has access to healing spells so the bonus to bandaging is also moot
Another option i was considering is moving enchanted grass to some other mechanic (e.g. a priest spell) and replacing the PoL7 ability with something else that will be more powerful and warrant the cooldown. Maybe a guaranteed charm-like ability once a day. I'm open to suggestions.

I must admit I am finding PoL to be somewhat meh here. Is there a tweak you have done to slow down the rate that animals pack grass? On WO, a field of animals would pack it very quickly and I had to re-plant the grass several tiles every day. Enchanted grass was very useful because of that, but here I think they've packed maybe 3 tiles in a fortnight!
I was surprised at just how quickly the meditation skill actually rose and so I'm now considering just creating a PoL alt for the enchanted grass for later, and switching to Insanity on Rheyan for the damage reduction buff.

Well what i posted above, a kind of charm animal spell that makes it your pet for a day or so and doesn't fail, and would have the same cooldown as current enhant ability. So you'd be able to maintain any animal (not monster) as a pet. But i haven't put that much thought into it, so if anyone has any other ideas i'm all ears

This thought might be a tad off the wall but based on how the server works with so many ways to generate coins for deeds purchases etc. I propose the replacement be The Money Tree The Money Tree is a harvestable tree that can be harvested xx amount of times In total the money tree has a random overall value (from 1s- 20s as an example) Each harvest you get xx amt of that til the balance is gone You may only have a set number of them at any one time til one is drained (say 1-3) Theres my way out there thought

How about an ability to accelerate a pregnancy of an animal by 1 day, once a day?

Focus on animals boo more creative..... Hmm how about a spell that reveals rock an instant clear dirt if the rock is with say 20 dirt or so great for teraformers

Or another thought since we deal so much with traders and markets etc and its located at the starter town how about teleport to starter town (trader)with a second part of teleport back vs using recall home.
