My character can easily carry 300kg and still run pretty fast (thanks to cloth armor + Otherland character improvements) But if she tries to hop on her horse, the poor dear can't budge under the weight, so she has to tow him along behind her. I'd suggest that whichever horse traits make horses a bit stronger, get a small tweak, or maybe spread out over these three traits: - Strong Body
- Strong Legs
- Carry More
This would make traited horses more valuable and make it possible to actually ride them even when carrying a heavy load that does not slow down the player.
I feel silly having to tow my horse along on a rope because he is too much of a wuss to even carry me

Definitely agree with this. Made even more silly when you can walk faster carrying the horse than it can walk carrying you.

In this case this suggestion is more of a game mechanic that does indeed prove an overall benefit to all and doesn't cater to the needs of any one particular person. +1

I'm adding this in the next update.
Some maths:
Before the change base weight a horse could carry without slowing down was 125kg, this includes the player weight (30kg-125kg depending on fat). After that it would slow down gradually. After the change this is increased by a factor of 2, so base weight is 250kg.
For HH this limit was 175kg and is increased to 350kg For Unicorns - was 150kg, increased to 300kg.
Traits added a bonus to that weight - (SB - 10kg, CM - 20kg, SL - 10kg), this is now increased by a factor of 4 (so 40/80/40 kg respectively).
Also "very unmotivated" trait is reducing that limit by 30kg, which is now also increased by the same amount (so more reason to glue-factory mutants, yay!).
Note that traits aren't always active and will randomly switch on and off as you ride (this is unchanged).
